Since his success in the ‘You’re a Star’, an Irish reality television talent search show in 2004, James has gone on to record and release 13 well-received albums and numerous single releases. James Kilbane’s music is now known around the world. He has a mix of his Irish culture, across folk, country and gospel styles of music. Kilbane is award winning for his gospel and country music at home in Ireland. Kilbane performs gospel events alongside his Irish folk shows in Ireland. Coming from Achill Island with his back to the Atlantic Ocean he has had to develop a steel determination to be successful since becoming a national and now international recording artist. This has helped him overcome many obstacles in his native Irish music industry making him now a multi-platinum selling recording artist. Kilbane has and can sing practically anything really well, with Irish ballads and folk a central part of his musical life. Now, Kilbane reaches millions of people weekly across 120 media platforms weekly. Over the years he has become a television presenter for the Shalom World Television a broadcasting platform that is based in India and broadcast across 5 continents. James has performed at 8 Irish Festivals in Cleveland over the years and he is looking forward to returning to meet many of his wide family, friends and to make new ones at this year’s Irish festival. James is also a honours graduate in Irish Heritage and Cultural studies which gives him an in-depth understanding of Irish culture and music that he brings to his stage and knowledge.
